THE BLUE LETTERBOX

Original Short Film
NFP Partnership Campaign

Trigger warning: this project discusses suicide.

Sometimes to help ourselves, we must others. Base in a small country town, The Blue Letterbox is a short film about Sam, a larrikin farmer who has secretly started painting his neighbor’s letterboxes blue as a gesture of kindness that has the whole town talking. The letterboxes targeted are owned by residents who have recently been through some sort of hardship, but little do they know that Sam is in the midst of a deep depression himself.

The Blue Letterbox was a collaboration between Fade In Studio and NFP, Spur Projects / Mettlesome, as campaign to raise awareness of mental health in rural and remote communities.

Suicide is a critical issue for those in regional and remote areas with significantly higher statistics than metropolitan areas.
